       ROB'S STORY

Rob was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario.  He attended Glenview Park Secondary School and then headed to Conestoga College to fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer.  After graduating from the Law and Security program Rob had 2 days of rest before starting his career with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).  He was posted in Simcoe, Ontario where he worked in uniform for 3 years before entering into the Criminal Investigations Unit as a Plain Clothes Detective.  Rob then spent 4 years in the “Crime Unit” investigating major crimes such as Robberies, Sexual Assaults and Homicides.

After 7 years at the Simcoe Detachment Rob was posted as a Detective in the Child Pornography Section of the OPP where he became one of the first officers in Canada to take on the role of doing Online Undercover work.  This work also involved face to face meetings with child pornographers and child molesters.  Rob became an expert in the field of online undercover work and lectured in Spain, France, Belgium and Brazil as well as across Canada and in the United States.  During this time Rob spoke to many groups such as Interpol and to the Members of Parliament in Ottawa, Canada.  In 2000, Rob was promoted to Detective Sergeant and was second in command of the Child Pornography Section.  During this time he managed officers within the Section, organized and investigated major projects as well as a 2 year Canada wide operation.

Rob left the OPP in February 2003 to start his own company “Nickel Concepts”.  Nickel Concepts assists other companies with promotional material, and consulting.  Rob is also a professional speaker and produces marketing and learning material through “Nickel Concepts”.  Rob just recently became one of nine competitors to compete at the “World Championship of Public Speaking” held in Reno, Nevada in his first year with Toastmasters.  To achieve this Rob had to win at 5 levels of competition in North America weeding out 30,000 people who competed.  On the world stage Rob competed in front of 2,500 people and loved every second of it.

Rob has been studying personal development for 7 years, and realized when he started learning that life is all about making yourself a better person.  Success he believes is living the life you want, and happiness comes from achieving that type of success.  Rob has never done anything halfway and during his presentations helps the audience to understand that your attitude, belief and having fun are 3 very important ingredients to success.  Rob’s comedic approach to learning is unforgettable.
